In late 2003, a group of local artists began Gypsy Gallery as an avenue to show their work. The first Gypsy was held in the basement of The Mode building on December 4 and was a great success. As the name implies, the gallery is held in various venues. Gypsy Galleries have been held at the Center on the Grove and in the Alaska building. We have a rotating booth at the Capital City Saturday Market.

Gypsy artists have shown individually at The Gallery at Hyde Park, the Art Source Gallery, Rembrandt’s, St. Luke’s, Satchel’s, the Flying M and R. Grey. Members have been juried in to the Idaho Watercolor Society show, the Art Source Annual Juried Show, American Craft Council Shows and the Nampa Art Guild Annual Juried Show.

Gypsy Gallery is composed of local artists working in a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint, digital photography, and mixed media. Participating artists contribute signs, logo ideas, equipment and labor and share overhead costs. Proceeds go to the individual artist.

Gypsy Gallery is: Cherry Woodbury, Jenifer Gilliland, Kristy Albrecht, Marianne Konvalinka, Michael Falvey, Pam McKnight, Miriam Woito and Zella Bardsley
